Job summary

sennder is Europe’s leading digital freight forwarder. The Head of Tech & Product Operations will partner with tech leadership to drive strategic initiatives, AI adoption, and cross-functional collaboration across Product, Engineering, Operations, Finance, and Commercial teams.

The role supports the CPTO and reports to the executive leadership on a maternity cover basis. The position is based in Berlin, Barcelona, or Amsterdam, offering influence over roadmaps, dashboards, and governance while

Qualifications

• Experience in a Chief of Staff, Technology Operations, Program Management, or Consulting role.
• Strong understanding of software development and product operations.
• Financial acumen with budget ownership, ROI/business case development, and cost management in tech.
• Knowledge of IFRS IT capitalization and German Forschungszulage (R&D grant).
• Analytical and data-driven decision-making mindset.
• Exceptional stakeholder management and executive communication.

Responsibilities

• Define, prioritize, and execute strategic initiatives across Tech (Product and Engineering).
• Lead quarterly planning and operational cadence for Technology.
• Drive AI adoption and transformation with Product and Engineering leads.
• Own regular deliverables: ROI report, IT cap report, roadmap delivery, dashboards, and communications.
• Foster cross-functional collaboration between Product, Engineering, Operations, Finance and Commercial teams.
• Prepare and deliver board and executive updates for the CPTO.
• Develop dashboards and reporting mechanisms to support data-driven decision-making.
• Lead special projects and organizational effectiveness programs.
