Job summary

sennder is seeking a Machine Learning Engineer to join our ML team. This applied ML role focuses on innovative projects, from optimizing pricing and recommender systems to building greenfield solutions, with the role based in Amsterdam, Berlin, or Barcelona.

You will combine 70% data science and 30% ML engineering, working with end-users and Product Managers to deliver production-ready models, end-to-end from R&D to deployment and monitoring.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Data Science or ML Engineering.
• Strong foundation in statistics and deep data exploration.
• Experience deploying models to production with modular code.
• Ability to translate complex logistics problems into data-driven solutions.

Responsibilities

• Pricing engine optimization: develop and iterate bid estimation and margin models.
• Carrier forecasting: build predictive models for carrier behavior and capacity.
• Recommender systems: maintain and improve models to support operations.
• Explore industry innovations and applied ML to solve logistics challenges.
• Partner with Product Managers to drive discovery and rapid prototypes.
• Evaluate and integrate AI tools and LLMs in production contexts.
• End-to-end execution from R&D to production deployment and monitoring.
