Job summary

Suitsupply in Amsterdam is building a global headless storefront on Shopify Hydrogen, replacing its legacy platform. It’s TypeScript-first, serves 26+ countries and lives inside a monorepo with other customer-facing apps.

This hands-on Tech Lead role owns architecture and sets standards for scalable storefronts and will lead frontend engineers. You’ll work with product and design, own the integration strategy across Shopify APIs, Sanity CMS and payments/logistics, and shape platform decisions

Qualifications

5+ years of experience building production web apps with React and TS in Next.js.
At least 2 years in a Tech Lead role.
Experience with headless commerce and Shopify Hydrogen is a plus.
Strong architectural, coding, and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

Define and own the technical architecture of the storefront across markets, languages and devices.
Lead frontend engineers through architectural decisions, code reviews and guidance.
Make technology choices and communicate trade-offs to team and stakeholders.
Own integration strategy with Shopify APIs, Sanity CMS and payment/logistics systems.
Define testing strategy including unit, integration and end-to-end coverage.
Set high standards for performance, accessibility, security, and reliability.
Drive the frontend chapter and establish shared development practices.
