Job summary

Cleo is hiring a Tech Lead ML Manager to join the data science function. You will lead a small team of ML engineers, own production deployments, and shape the squad's roadmap. You will work at the intersection of LLMs and classical ML to scale features that help users understand and manage their money.

You will partner with product managers, backend engineers and analysts to plan work and drive the Financial Understanding pillar forward in a fast-growing fintech environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to write production quality Python code.
• Experience deploying machine learning models into production.
• Experience with both LLMs and classical machine learning.
• At least 1 year of people management experience, ideally leading a small team.
• At least 5 years in data science, ML engineering or related roles.

Responsibilities

• Leading and managing a team of circa 4 MLEs.
• Deploying machine learning models into production.
• Collaborating with product managers, backend engineers and analysts to plan and sequence work for the squad.
• Helping define the roadmap for the squad/workstream.
