Job summary

Nebul in the Netherlands is building Europe’s sovereign AI cloud. We’re seeking a Tech Lead – AI Backend, Kubernetes & GPU Platform to shape the architecture of our AI platform and lead backend teams.

You’ll design scalable backend systems, APIs and orchestration for LLM inference and model serving on Kubernetes and GPU infrastructure, mentoring engineers and setting reliability and observability standards. Dutch residence required.

Qualifications

• Extensive backend engineering experience with production systems.
• Experience designing large-scale microservices and distributed systems.
• Strong understanding of APIs, asynchronous processing, databases, queues, caching and fault tolerance.
• Leadership experience guiding engineers and setting architectural direction.

Responsibilities

• Shape architecture behind our AI platform and stay close to software being built.
• Design scalable backend systems, APIs and orchestration for AI workloads on Kubernetes and GPU infrastructure.
• Lead architectural decisions and establish reliability, observability, testing and maintainability standards.
• Mentor engineers and drive technical decisions across backend and AI platform teams.
