Job summary

Action, headquartered in the Netherlands, is expanding its HR Analytics function and seeks a Team Lead Reporting & Analytics to shape reporting strategy and lead a four-person team. You will partner with HR Leadership and cross-functional stakeholders across multiple countries to deliver high-quality insights and drive data-driven decisions.

In this role, you define the analytics roadmap, ensure governance and data quality, and translate business needs into actionable HR reporting solutions,

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in business-related field and 5+ years in reporting/analytics.
  • Experience leading and developing teams in a complex organization.
  • Strong stakeholder management across functions, countries, and levels.
  • Ability to define reporting strategies, KPI frameworks, and analytics roadmaps.
  • Proven ability to translate data into business insights and recommendations.

As Team Lead Reporting & Analytics, you are responsible for leading and developing a team of four Reporting & Analytics Experts. You act as the main point of contact for HR reporting needs and ensure that reporting and analytics activities support business objectives across Action.

You work closely with HR Leadership, HR Operations, Finance, Risk, IT, Store Operations, and other stakeholders across all countries. By understanding business priorities and translating them into reporting strategies and solutions, you help drive better decisions throughout the organization.

You are responsible for overseeing the reporting landscape, maintaining high quality standards, improving reporting processes, and ensuring that workforce data is transformed into meaningful and actionable insights.

Your key responsibilities:

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of Reporting & Analytics Experts.
  • Act as the primary contact for HR reporting and analytics requests.
  • Define and execute the HR Reporting & Analytics strategy and roadmap.
  • Understand business needs, manage reporting demand and prioritise initiatives based on business value and strategic objectives
  • Drive workforce analytics initiatives and provide insights that support strategic decision-making.
  • Ensure accurate, consistent, and high-quality HR reporting across all countries.
  • Maintain and continuously improve reporting processes, standards, and governance.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders across HR, Finance, Risk, Store Operations, and IT.
  • Oversee reporting operations, monitor quality standards, and resolve reporting issues.
  • Define and maintain company-wide HR metrics and reporting standards.
  • Promote a data-driven culture within HR and position the team as a trusted business partner.
  • Lead HR reporting and analytics related projects and contribute to broader business initiatives where reporting expertise is required.
  • Build and further professionalise the HR Reporting & Analytics operating model, including governance, prioritisation, data quality standards and stakeholder engagement.

You will be part of the HR Operations department at our international headquarters in Zwaagdijk-Oost and report directly to the Country HR Operations Manager.

Together with your team of four Reporting & Analytics Experts, you play a key role in supporting HR and business leaders with workforce insights, reporting solutions, and strategic analytics, and being a trusted advisor to HR and business leadership. The team's mission is to enable data-driven decision-making and continuously improve reporting capabilities across Action.

  • You are an experienced reporting and analytics professional who understands what excellence looks like and acts as a subject matter expert on reporting, analytics tooling, governance and business solutions.

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, HR, Data Analytics, Economics, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in reporting, analytics, workforce analytics, business intelligence, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience leading and developing teams.
  • Strong stakeholder management experience in a complex organizational environment.
  • Experience defining reporting strategies, KPI frameworks, and analytics roadmaps.
  • Proven ability to translate data into business insights and recommendations.
  • Strong understanding of HR reporting, workforce analytics, and proven ability to work effectively across teams, functions and countries at different levels to achieve common objectives.
  • Experience working with HR systems and reporting tools such as SAP, SuccessFactors, Kronos, SharePoint, and Excel (Power Query).
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills with the ability to deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and strong command of the English language.
  • Ability to commute to our headquarters in Zwaagdijk-Oost at least three days a week.
