Job summary

Beds & Bars in Amsterdam is seeking a Bar Team Member to create memorable guest experiences. You will mix and serve drinks, help with kitchen collaboration, and maintain a clean, welcoming bar area in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a range of drinks according to recipes and guest preferences.
• Greet guests, take orders, and ensure a memorable experience.
• Keep the bar area clean, tidy and well-maintained.
• Monitor and restock bar supplies including beverages and glassware.
• Process payments accurately across cash, card, and mobile transactions.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations including ID checks.
• Collaborate with kitchen and service teams for smooth operations.
• Assist with setup and service for events and private functions.
• Deliver accurate and timely service for à la carte orders and buffet service.

Role Summary

As a Bar Team Member, you’ll be at the heart of creating unforgettable experiences for our guests. Your main responsibilities will include preparing and serving a range of drinks, ensuring the bar area is well-maintained, and delivering exceptional customer service. You’ll also collaborate with the kitchen team to provide seamless food service, from breakfast buffets to group meals. This role is dynamic and fast-paced, requiring strong multitasking skills, a calm approach under pressure, and a team-oriented mindset. You’ll work in a lively, energetic environment with plenty of interaction with diverse customers. Flexibility is essential, as shifts may include late nights, weekends, and holidays.

• Drink Preparation & Service: Mix and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to recipes and guest preferences.
• Customer Service: Greet guests warmly, take orders, and ensure a memorable experience by addressing any questions or concerns.
• Cleanliness & Organization: Keep the bar area clean and orderly, including washing glasses and sanitizing surfaces.
• Inventory Management: Monitor and restock bar supplies, including beverages, garnishes, and glassware.
• Cash Handling: Process payments accurately, including cash, card, and mobile transactions, and balance the register after shifts.
• Compliance: Adhere to health and safety regulations, including ID checks for legal drinking age and responsible alcohol service.
• Collaboration: Work closely with the kitchen and service teams to ensure smooth operations and guest satisfaction.
• Event Support: Assist with setup and service for special events and private functions.
• Food Service: Ensure accurate and timely delivery of à la carte orders and maintain high standards for buffet preparation and service.
