Applied Medical Corporation in Amersfoort invites an experienced accounting professional to lead the European accounting team as Team Leader Senior Accountants. You will oversee financial administration, US GAAP compliance, and reporting for European entities, driving improvements and supporting audits.

You will mentor a high-performing team, coordinate with stakeholders across the organization, and contribute to continued growth of our European Finance operation in an international setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or related field.
• 5–7 years of professional experience in Finance or Accounting.
• At least 3 years of experience in a Big 4 or international audit firm.
• Previous leadership experience is preferred.
• Experience working in an international environment is preferred.
• Experience with SAP or another financial ERP system.

• Lead, coach, and develop the Senior Accounting team.
• Define team priorities and ensure departmental goals are achieved.
• Oversee reconciliations, fixed assets, VAT and Intrastat reporting.

Are you an experienced accounting professional with proven leadership skills and ready for your next challenge in an international environment?

Join Applied Medical's Finance team at our European headquarters in Amersfoort as a Team Leader Senior Accountants. In this role, you will lead a team responsible for the accounting activities of Applied Medical's European entities, ensuring accurate financial administration, compliance, and reporting. You will play a key role in driving process improvements, supporting audits, ensuring US GAAP compliance, and developing a high-performing team. Reporting to the Manager Accounting and Credit Control, you will work closely with stakeholders across the organization and contribute to the continued growth and success of our European Finance operation.

Key Responsibilities

Managing

• Lead, coach, and develop the Senior Accounting team
• Define team priorities and ensure departmental goals are achieved
• Manage onboarding, succession planning, and performance development
• Strengthening collaboration with stakeholders across the organization

Process Improvement

• Identify and implement improvements to accounting processes, procedures, and systems
• Maintain and enhance internal procedures and controls
• Drive efficiency and continuous improvement initiatives within and beyond the team

Quality

• Oversee the accuracy and completeness of the general ledgers for European entities
• Ensure compliance with US GAAP, company policies, and quality standards
• Supervise key accounting activities, including reconciliations, fixed assets, VAT and Intrastat reporting
• Coordinate and support internal and external audits
• Manage internal and external financial reporting activities

What you bring
