At Robin Radar Systems, every deal is complex. Our customers, from international airports to defense agencies and critical infrastructure operators, come with unique requirements and high compliance standards.

The Bid & Quote team turns those requirements into winning proposals. We’re looking for a Team Lead who can lead a small, sharp team while staying hands‑on in the work. Someone who knows what it takes to win in high‑stakes procurement environments, ideally with exposure to defense, government, or security‑critical tendering.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the full RFI‑to‑contract‑signature process: structuring compliant, compelling bids and commercial proposals that hold up in regulated and defense procurement environments;
  • Manage and coach a team of 2 Bid & Quote specialists; build capability and keep quality high under deadline pressure;
  • Allocate resources across concurrent bids; manage timelines, dependencies, and stakeholder expectations;
  • Own the commercial and legal toolkit: Price sheets, NDAs, Purchase Agreements, and serve as the internal Sales Legal point of contact;
  • Supervise the external law firm partner; know when to elevate, when to push through;
  • Partner with Account Management, Sales Leadership, and cross‑functional teams (R&D, Finance, Operations, Project Management) to build commercially sound proposals;
  • Drive continuous improvement of bid processes, tooling, and templates.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree (HBO/BA) in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field;
  • 5–8 years of progressive experience in Bid Management, Commercial Operations, or Sales Support, including people leadership;
  • Experience in or strong affinity with defense, government, or security‑sensitive procurement;
  • You understand compliance requirements, clearance sensitivities, and the pace of these processes;
  • Proven ability to translate complex technical solutions into clear, compelling commercial narratives;
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken);
  • Structured and reliable under pressure: multiple live bids, no dropped balls;
  • Assertive and commercially sharp, you can protect margins and push back on scope while keeping relationships intact;
  • Strong interpersonal skills for cross‑functional collaboration across cultures.
N.B.

All applicants, we realize that this is quite the list and people come with various levels of experience. Don’t be afraid to apply even if you feel you don’t meet every desired skill. Our mission is a journey and there’s plenty to learn on the way! But of course, you should identify with our core values: We trust, We own it & We aim high.

Also please be aware that we will request a Certificate of Conduct (VOG) and conduct a background check according to our screening policy. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in this matter.

What’s in for you
  • Working for a Great Place to Work certified company;
  • Comprehensive pension plan;
  • Commuting allowance;
  • 30 days of paid holiday leave (with the possibility to buy 3 additional days);
  • Opportunities to develop your skills even further through training and certifications;
  • High quality laptop/desktop, monitor, noise‑canceling headphones, and any other equipment necessary for your role;
  • An international team of 30+ nationalities, full of high performance colleagues you can exchange experiences with and learn from. As well as having a lot of fun in our social events and Friday drinks!
