Job summary

MR MARVIS, an Amsterdam-based menswear brand, is seeking a Team Lead Accounting who combines strong accounting fundamentals with a hands-on, pragmatic approach. You’ll own month-end close, reconciliations, fixed assets, prepayments, and audit prep while coaching junior and medior GL accountants.

As the team grows, you’ll drive process improvements, enhance data quality, and partner with auditors to ensure clean, compliant reporting.

Qualifications

Several years of GL accounting experience in a fast-growing retail or e-commerce environment.
Ability to coach and review junior/medior team members and improve data quality.

Responsibilities

Owning the Closing Cycle: Lead the month-end and year-end closing processes for Accounting.
Coach the Team: Review work from Junior and Medior GL Accountants.
Fixed Asset Management: Own Fixed Asset register and depreciation; manage Lease Liability postings.
Complexity Specialist: Handle prepayments, deferred expenses, and year-end audit files.
Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to boost efficiency.
Control & Compliance: Improve balance sheet reconciliations for accurate reporting.
Audit Partner: Be main Accounting contact for external auditors during the annual audit.
