Purmerend School Group is seeking a Teaching Assistant (Engineering) to support teachers and supervise pupils during design and technology lessons. The role is 0.4–0.9 FTE, with duties including lesson preparation and assisting with pupil activities.

Who are we looking for?
The teaching assistant assists the teacher with teaching duties and pupil supervision, and can work independently with a small group of pupils during design and technology lessons. The teaching assistant helps with preparations for the lessons. The teaching assistant reports to the teacher on observed pupil behaviour and carries out various hand-in support services surrounding the educational process. The work consists of, among other things, assisting the teacher with teaching duties and guiding pupils by;
Supervising pupils and assisting with design and technology lessons.
Identifying and reporting observed student behaviour to the teacher and, if necessary, keeping a record of this in consultation with the teacher;
Checking the tasks and exercises completed by the pupil, and providing feedback to the pupil regarding these results;
What do you bring?
A vocational education qualification (MBO) as a teaching assistant or a background in technology. A strong personality, skilled in consciously responding to student behaviour and reporting on this. Able to work both as a teacher's assistant and independently.
