Job summary

Purmerend School Group is seeking a Teaching Assistant (Engineering) to support teachers and supervise pupils during design and technology lessons. The role is 0.4–0.9 FTE, with duties including lesson preparation and assisting with pupil activities.

You should have an MBO teaching assistant qualification or a technology background, a strong personality, and the ability to work both with a class and independently.

Qualifications

• A vocational education qualification (MBO) as a teaching assistant or a background in technology.
• Ability to respond to student behaviour and report observations to the teacher.
• Capable of working as a teaching assistant and independently.

Responsibilities

• Assist the teacher with teaching duties and pupil supervision.
• Work independently with a small group of pupils during design and technology lessons.
• Assist with lesson preparations and provide feedback on pupil work.
• Identify and report observed pupil behaviour to the teacher and keep records as needed.
• Supervise pupils and support design and technology lessons.
