Zusammenfassung

Jefferson Wells is seeking a Taxibot Technician at Schiphol Airport to maintain and optimize semi-robotic towing vehicles. You will handle preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshoot faults, and update software to improve reliability and emissions performance.

You will collaborate with engineers and international teams, enjoy a high level of technical ownership, and work a 40-hour week on day shifts in an international environment.

Qualifikationen

• Minimum mbo level 4 or an equivalent technical qualification in automotive/mechatronics or related field.
• Experience maintaining, diagnosing and repairing vehicles, mobile equipment or heavy machinery.
• Strong mechanical and electrical systems knowledge, plus hydraulic experience.
• Proven troubleshooting and fault-finding skills; CANBUS experience desirable.
• Fluent English (written and spoken) and a valid Category B driving license.

As a Taxibot Technician at Schiphol Airport, you will maintain and optimize innovative semi-robotic aircraft towing vehicles that help reduce emissions and improve airport operations. As a Taxibot Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and optimizing a fleet of advanced Taxibots. These innovative vehicles combine heavy equipment technology, hydraulics, electronics, software, automation, and aviation systems. Your responsibilities include:

• Performing preventive and corrective maintenance on Taxibots
• Diagnosing and resolving mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and electronic faults
• Working with CANBUS systems, sensors, diagnostics software, and control systems
• Carrying out software and firmware updates
• Performing root cause analysis on complex technical failures
• Testing and commissioning equipment after maintenance and repairs
• Acting as the on-site technical specialist for the equipment

Minimum mbo level 4, Associate Degree, or equivalent technical qualification in Automotive, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Heavy Vehicle Technology, or a related field

• Experience maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing vehicles, mobile equipment, heavy machinery, or similar assets
• Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems
• Experience working with hydraulic systems
• Proven troubleshooting and fault-finding skills
• Experience with CANBUS systems, vehicle electronics, diagnostics software, or control systems is highly desirable
• Experience in truck, automotive, agricultural machinery, construction equipment, ground support equipment, or similar industries
• Good command of English, both written and spoken
• Valid Category B driving licence
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proactive, hands-on, and solution-oriented mindset
• Ability to work independently and take technical ownership
