Job summary

Jefferson Wells is seeking a Taxibot Technician at Schiphol Airport to maintain and optimize semi-robotic towing vehicles. You will handle preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshoot faults, and update software to improve reliability and emissions performance.

You will collaborate with engineers and international teams, enjoy a high level of technical ownership, and work a 40-hour week on day shifts in an international environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum mbo level 4 or an equivalent technical qualification in automotive/mechatronics or related field.
• Experience maintaining, diagnosing and repairing vehicles, mobile equipment or heavy machinery.
• Strong mechanical and electrical systems knowledge, plus hydraulic experience.
• Proven troubleshooting and fault-finding skills; CANBUS experience desirable.
• Fluent English (written and spoken) and a valid Category B driving license.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on Taxibots.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and electronic faults.
• Work with CANBUS systems, diagnostics software, and control systems.
• Carry out software and firmware updates on Taxibots.
• Conduct root cause analysis on complex technical failures.
• Test and commission equipment after maintenance and repairs.
• Act as on-site technical specialist for the equipment.
• Collaborate with engineers, airport operations teams, and international support.
• Identify opportunities to improve reliability, availability and performance.
