Job summary

Scarabee Aviation Group at Schiphol Airport is seeking a Service Technician to ensure smooth operation of security lanes and BagDrops, contributing to passenger safety and experience. Work in a 20-person team handling preventive and corrective maintenance 24/7.

You will maintain machines, adjust parts, and prepare maintenance reports, while reporting outcomes and issues to the team. Fluency in Dutch and English is required.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in machine building.
• Willing to work a 5-shift system (morning/afternoon/night).
• Able to read/interpret electrical schematics; PLC knowledge is a plus.

Airports are always on the move. The work of a Service Technician is therefore versatile and dynamic. As an important member of the Service and Maintenance team, you help our colleagues contribute to safety and the traveler experience at Schiphol Airport. With your service-oriented technical mindset and proactive approach, providing optimal support and advice to our customers is a piece of cake for you.

What will you do as a Service Technician?

As a Service Technician at Schiphol, you ensure the smooth operation of our security lanes and self-service BagDrops. Every day, you contribute to the safety and airport experience of passengers at Schiphol. The service team you are part of consists of approximately 20 employees who take care of the preventive and corrective maintenance of our machines 24/7. As a Service Technician, you will be involved in:

• Maintaining the machines;
• Adjusting the various machine parts;
• Preparing fault and maintenance reports;
• Reporting on the work performed and any notable issues.

What do you bring?

• 1-3 years of relevant work experience in machine building;
• You are willing to work in a 5-shift system, working morning, afternoon, and night shifts;
• You are able to read and interpret electrical schematics. Knowledge of PLC systems is a plus, but not a requirement;
• You are able to provide a Security Clearance (VGB);
• You are VCA certified and in possession of NEN-3140 (VP), or willing to obtain this;
• You are fluent in both Dutch and English, both spoken and written.
