Job summary

BD (Waters) is seeking a Systems Verification and Validation Engineer to ensure quality, reliability, and safety of complex systems. You will translate risks into test strategies, develop plans, and drive defect resolution across cross-functional teams, using manual and automated testing.

The role emphasizes scalable automated test solutions, risk assessments, and maintaining a robust test environment that mirrors real-world conditions. Strong documentation and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• ISTQB (beyond Foundation) or TMap certification preferred.
• Several years of experience in SAFe, Scrum and/or Agile environments.
• Fluent in Dutch and English (spoken and written).
• Experience in system-level testing in regulated/high-tech environments.
• Familiarity with ISO 13485 or similar standards is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Participate in risk and impact assessments to identify potential system vulnerabilities.
• Translate risks into executable test strategy and plans.
• Plan verification and validation activities across the development lifecycle.
• Specify detailed, traceable test cases from requirements and risk analysis.
• Implement manual and automated tests to verify functionality and performance.
• Document test results, findings and defects clearly.
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts to improve coverage.
• Lead defect review meetings with cross-functional teams.
• Provide updates on test progress and defect status.
• Define and maintain the test environment to mirror real use conditions.
