Job summary

WLG in The Hague, Netherlands, seeks a Systems Engineer to integrate dozen systems across lifecycle. You will manage requirements, baselines and interfaces, plan integration, and craft verification strategies to ensure operability in air command and control contexts.

The role emphasizes structured engineering practices, plus ability to assess usability and user journeys for real-world usability, not just compliance. Dual civilian-military exposure desirable.

Qualifications

• A BSc from a recognised university in a technical subject with substantial IT content, plus three years of relevant experience — or, in place of the degree, at least five years of extensive and progressive experience in this kind of work.
• Real system-of-systems and requirements engineering practice, with structured tooling.
• Experience of technical baselines, interfaces and integration verification.
• Desirable: prior work in an international environment of both military and civilian staff, and knowledge of how such an organisation is structured.

Responsibilities

• System-of-systems engineering and lifecycle management.
• Requirements engineering and traceability, worked in DOORS or a tool of that family.
• Holding the technical baseline, and control of the interfaces between systems.
• Planning the integration, and writing the strategy that verifies it.
• Applying operational domain knowledge, particularly air command and control, federated mission operations and how the wider organisation is put together.
• Human factors, usability analysis and user journey assessment — making sure the capability is usable, not merely compliant.
