Job summary

YER Tech Solutions zoekt een ondernemende Systems Engineer die aan de basis staat van het definiëren en leveren van engineering oplossingen voor klanten in de Benelux. Je vertaalt klantuitdagingen naar heldere systeemvereisten en architecturen en zorgt ervoor dat mechanische, elektrische en software-elementen als één geïntegreerde oplossing samenwerken.

Je werkt nauw samen met Lead Engineer en multidisciplinaire teams en bewaakt traceerbaarheid en naleving gedurende de ontwikkeling.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or related discipline.
• 5+ jaar ervaring in systems engineering in een multidisciplinaire omgeving.
• Ervaring met requirement management tools zoals DOORS of Polarion.
• Kennis van MBSE en SysML is zeer gewenst.
• Nederlandse taalvaardigheid is een sterke plus en autorisatie om in NL te werken.
• Gevestigd in Nederland; bij voorkeur regio Rotterdam/Utrecht/Eindhoven.

Responsibilities

• Deelnemen aan klant- en projectbesprekingen vanuit systems engineering perspectief.
• Verduidelijken van klantuitdagingen in systeemvereisten en meetbare projectresultaten.
• Define en onderhoud system architectures, requirements en interface-definities.
• Ondersteunen bij trade-off analyses en besluitvorming.
• Zorgdragen voor traceerbaarheid van requirements gedurende de lifecycle.
• Coördineren van afstemming tussen mechanische, elektrotechnische en software disciplines.
• Leiden van integratie-, verificatie- en validatie-activiteiten.
• Identificeren en communiceren van system-level risico's en afhankelijkheden.
• Bijdragen aan kennis topics zoals engineering methodologies en best practices.
• Samenwerken met Lead Engineer en projectteams om klantprojecten succesvol te leveren.

YER Tech Solutions (TS) is looking for an entrepreneurial Systems Engineer who wants to be at the forefront of something new. You will play a key role in shaping the way we define and deliver engineering solutions for our customers. By translating customer challenges into clear system requirements and architectures, you will help ensure our projects are delivered successfully from concept through implementation.

You won't inherit a mature organisation with fixed processes and legacy structures. Instead, you'll help create the foundation of a growing engineering business with ambitious plans in the Netherlands and beyond

Your role

As Systems Engineer, you will bridge customer requirements, engineering disciplines and project delivery.

You are responsible for translating customer needs into clear system requirements, architectures and interfaces. You ensure that mechanical, electrical and software elements work together as one integrated solution and that projects remain aligned with customer expectations throughout the development process.

While Mechanical Engineers focus on designing and realising the physical solution, you focus on defining what the system must do, how the different subsystems interact and how compliance with requirements is demonstrated.

You will work closely with the Lead Engineer, Delivery Manager and multidisciplinary engineering teams to support successful project execution.

Your responsibilities

• Participate in customer and project discussions from a systems engineering perspective
• Translate customer challenges into system design requirements and measurable project outcomes and describe these in a Statement of Work
• Define and maintain system architectures, requirements and interface definitions
• Support trade-off analyses and engineering decision-making
• Ensure requirements traceability throughout the project lifecycle with e.g. IBM Doors
• Coordinate technical alignment between mechanical, electrical and software disciplines
• Lead integration, verification and validation activities
• Identify and communicate system-level risks, assumptions and dependencies
• Contribute to knowledge topics such as engineering methodologies, templates and best practices
• Work closely with the Lead Engineer and project teams to successfully deliver customer projects

Functie-eisen

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or a related discipline
• 5+ years of experience in systems engineering within a multidisciplinary engineering environment
• Experience working on projects from requirements definition through integration, verification and validation
• Experience with requirements management tools such as DOORS, Polarion or similar
• Knowledge of MBSE and SysML is highly desirable
• Commercial awareness and customer-facing skills
• Strong analytical and structured problem-solving capabilities
• Based in the Netherlands, preferably in the Rotterdam, Utrecht or Eindhoven region
• Dutch speaking is a strong advantage
• Authorized to work in the Netherlands without the need for visa sponsorship
• Experience across multiple industries or engineering domains is considered a plus
