Qualifications

• BSc of MSc in Werktuigbouwkunde of gelijkwaardig.
• 8+ jaren ervaring in engineering, met 2–3 jaar in leiderschap.
• Ervaring met multidisciplinaire projecten.
• Werkervaring in Nederland; bij voorkeur in regio Rotterdam/Utrecht/Eindhoven.

Responsibilities

YER Tech Solutions (TS) is looking for an entrepreneurial Lead Mechanical Engineer who wants to be at the forefront of something new. You will play a pivotal role in shaping our engineering capabilities, by writing the SoW based on the customer intakes you will do, helping win projects, defining how we deliver them, and leading their successful execution.

You won't inherit a mature organisation with fixed processes and legacy structures. Instead, you'll help create the foundation of a growing engineering business with ambitious plans in the Netherlands and beyond.

Your role

As Lead Mechanical Engineer, you will bridge engineering, sales and delivery.

You will help define project scope, estimate effort and costs, support customer discussions and ultimately take responsibility for successful execution.

This means you will be involved before a project starts, while it is being delivered, and during the evaluation afterwards.

Your responsibilities

• Participate in customer and sales discussions
• Translate customer challenges into measurable project outcomes
• Create project scopes, work breakdowns and effort estimations
• Lead engineering projects from concept through implementation
• Take technical ownership of project delivery
• Coach and guide engineers involved in projects
• Contribute to building engineering methodologies and best practices
• Help shape the future direction of the Engineering focus areas
• Build relationships with customers, suppliers and engineering partners
• You will work closely with the Business Unit Manager, Delivery Manager and customers to win and deliver innovative projects.

Functie-eisen

• BSc or MSc in Mechanical Engineering
• 8+ years of engineering experience, including at least 2–3 years in a technical leadership or team lead capacity;
• Experience leading multidisciplinary engineering projects
• Strong knowledge of mechanical design and (smart) manufacturing
• Commercial awareness and customer-facing skills
• Based in the Netherlands, preferably in the Rotterdam, Utrecht or Eindhoven region
• Dutch speaking is a strong advantage
• Authorized to work in the Netherlands without the need for visa sponsorship.
