Job Summary
The Manager, Systems Engineering is responsible for growing and leading a team responsible for the validation, characterization, firmware/software development, and release-to-production for our client’s revolutionary MEMS-based timing products. Responsibilities include project planning and coordination, mixed-signal characterization, systems/algorithms development, datasheet validation, performance feedback to MEMS/CMOS design, and prototyping of test and FA methodologies. In addition, he/she will lead activities to develop hardware/software/firmware for automated high-throughput characterization and calibration of the company’s products.
Responsibilities
- Grow and develop a team of engineers responsible for validation, characterization, firmware/software development, and release-to-production of MEMS-based timing products.
- Develop hardware/software/firmware for automated characterization and calibration.
- Interface with cross-functional teams and manage projects across different sites.
- Create and execute plans for verification and characterization.
- Develop and carry out experiments to prototype new technologies and system architectures.
- Support the bring-up of specialized programming systems overseas.
- Develop and transfer algorithms to final test/production environments.
- Work with circuit design team to evaluate new silicon and specify design improvements for performance enhancements or DFM/DFT.
- Perform engineering failure analysis to root cause product issues.
Backgrounds will be considered
- MS or PhD in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering. Exceptional candidates with other backgrounds will be considered.
- 5+ years of experience developing mixed-signal, MEMS, and/or sensor devices.
- 2+ years of experience leading engineering teams and achieving milestones.
- Understanding of mixed-signal circuits.
- Hands‑on familiarity with electronics laboratory instruments.
- Excellent programming skills, including MATLAB scripting.
- Experience with circuit characterization, debugging, automated testing, and data collection.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- MEMS development experience preferred, but not required.
