Job summary

Looper Engineering seeks a Systems Engineer to drive the integration side of the V-model for a new high-precision assembly equipment platform. You will work on module manufacturing, assembly and test towards a complete prototype, coordinating with suppliers and internal teams.

The role requires a MSc in a related field and several years of system integration experience, with a hands-on approach at the machine and a strong focus on interfaces and testing.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of interfaces, verification logic, and engineering change impact.

Responsibilities

• Drive the integration part of the V-model from module manufacturing to a prototype.
• Translate system requirements into practical integration approach: sequencing, interfaces, testing.
• Safeguard interfaces across mechanics, electronics, software and process; resolve issues early.
• Coordinate with development partners and subcontractors on deliverables and planning.

For our client, a developer of high-precision production equipment in the east of the Netherlands, we are looking for a Systems Engineer to drive the integration side of the V-model for a new high-precision assembly equipment platform, from module manufacturing, assembly and test towards a complete working prototype.

What you will do

Drive the integration part of the V-model: from module manufacturing, assembly and verification to a fully integrated prototype

Translate system requirements and architecture into a practical integration approach: build sequencing, interface alignment and testing

Safeguard interfaces across mechanics, electronics, software and process; resolve issues early with architects, discipline engineers and module owners

Coordinate with development partners and subcontractors on deliverables, interface definitions, planning and technical issue resolution

Provide hands‑on integration support: spend significant time at the machine investigating issues, supporting build and test activities, and driving practical solutions

Manage dependencies, risks, gaps and technical maturity across integration, verification and validation

What you bring

MSc in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Physics or a related field

Several years of experience in system integration, systems engineering, prototype realization or multidisciplinary equipment development

Strong understanding of interfaces, technical dependencies, verification logic and engineering change impact

Experience working with suppliers, development partners or subcontractors

Strong analytical skills, clear communication and a proactive mindset
