Job description

Would you like to work on complex high-tech systems where electronics, hardware and software come together? For a technical organization in the Eindhoven region, we are looking for an Electrical Design & Integration Engineer.

In this role, you will be involved in the design, integration and testing of electrical and electronic solutions within advanced machines and systems. You will work close to the hardware and have the freedom to independently solve technical challenges.

What will you do?

You will work on the electrical design and integration of different subsystems and ensure that they operate together as one reliable system.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Designing and developing electrical and electronic solutions;
  • Creating and modifying schematics, interfaces and basic PCB or breakout-board designs;
  • Selecting and integrating electronic components, sensors and other hardware;
  • Designing and realizing cabling and connector solutions;
  • Taking grounding, shielding, EMI and signal integrity into account;
  • Integrating and testing different electrical subsystems;
  • Performing hardware bring-up, measurements and troubleshooting;
  • Working with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers and other test equipment;
  • Analyzing and resolving electrical and integration issues;
  • Supporting test automation and hardware validation;
  • Contributing to improvements in system design and reliability.

You will be involved from the initial technical design through to the point where the hardware performs reliably in practice.

What are we looking for?

We are looking for an engineer who combines a strong foundation in electronics with a practical mindset. You enjoy not only designing behind a desk, but also testing, measuring and solving issues directly on the hardware.

Ideally, you have:

  • A BSc or MSc in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Embedded Systems or a related field;
  • Around 3–5 years of relevant professional experience;
  • Knowledge of both digital and analog electronics;
  • Experience with electrical design and schematic capture;
  • Experience with PCBs, interfaces or electronic hardware;
  • Hands‑on experience with hardware bring‑up and debugging;
  • Experience using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers and similar test equipment;
  • Knowledge of grounding, shielding, EMI and signal integrity;
  • Affinity with complex or timing‑critical systems;
  • Full professional proficiency in English.

Candidates with 2–3 years of experience are also welcome if they already have experience working with complex high‑tech hardware.

Nice to have

Experience with one or more of the following is considered an advantage:

  • FPGA or programmable logic;
  • Motion control;
  • Sensor and actuator interfaces;
  • Timing and trigger systems;
  • Python for testing or automation;
  • Machine building, mechatronics or scientific instrumentation;
What can you expect?

You will join a technically challenging environment where you will have a high level of responsibility and direct influence on the end result.

You can expect:

  • A technically challenging engineering position;
  • Significant ownership within electrical development and integration;
  • Work on complex high-tech systems;
  • Close collaboration with other engineering disciplines;
  • Plenty of room to contribute your own technical solutions;
  • Competitive employment conditions based on your knowledge and experience.
