Job summary

Orion Engineering is seeking a System Engineer to design and own the architecture of cabinet systems for the semiconductor industry. You will integrate servers, hardware and third-party equipment, ensuring performance, reliability and maintainability.

From hands-on configuration on the shop floor to high-level technical leadership, you will connect R&D, manufacturing and quality teams to bring complex products to market, while actively driving risk mitigation and design for manufacturability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience as a System Engineer, Integration Engineer, Hardware Engineer or similar role.
• Familiar with high-tech, semiconductor or complex hardware environments.
• Experience with multidisciplinary product development and system integration.

Responsibilities

• Work with customers to translate requirements into technical solutions and provide expert advice from development through deployment.
• Act as the technical link between R&D and production, ensuring design choices are scalable and practical to manufacture.
• Select and evaluate system components on feasibility, performance, cost and manufacturability.
• Lead and support EMC/EMI testing, analyse results and drive corrective actions.
• Measure, troubleshoot and perform root-cause analysis on the production floor when problems occur.
• Maintain a holistic view of the system and assess decisions in product and business context.
• Lead technical discussions and align stakeholders to balance priorities at system level.
• Bring together hardware, software, manufacturing, quality and project management to reach goals.
