System Administrator

At DRIFT we’re looking for a SysAdmin who will bring the tech of the artworks into the wild. We’re seeking an experienced Linux System Administrator to elevate our digital artworks and internal systems.

What you’ll do

• Collaborate closely with software and production engineers to optimize the workflow between artwork development and deployment.
• Engineer and deploy Linux environments for digital artworks that are state‑of‑the‑art and blazing fast.
• Oversee and manage digital artwork deployments at client locations, including integration with home automation and show control systems.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues, providing clear and detailed bug and defect reports.
• Configure and maintain servers and build systems in close collaboration with software engineers.
• Handle employee device management, onboarding and offboarding across Apple, Linux, and Windows environments.
• Design and manage large‑scale network infrastructures, including complex VLANs, VPNs, managed switches, and traffic control.
• Develop and maintain company‑wide policies related to employee device management, backup/ versioning strategies, and OS configuration & network infrastructure.
• Provide support and guidance for both clients and internal teams.
• Create and maintain documentation and manuals for internal and external use.
