Job summary

MediaMarkt Hoofdkantoor in Rotterdam is seeking a Supply Chain Planner for a temporary contract from January 2027 through June 2027. You will monitor and optimize warehouse processes, ensuring smooth flow from warehouse to stores.

You will collaborate with Demand Planning, Warehouse operations and technical teams to implement innovative programs for the Benelux supply chain. The role demands strong analytics, Excel and ERP knowledge, and a proactive, team-oriented mindset.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree required in a relevant field.
• 4–5 years of relevant experience in Supply Chain, Planning, Business Analysis or Automation and Reporting.
• Strong analytical skills and experience working with Excel and big data.
• Positive mindset with a structured, hands-on approach and strong communication skills.
• SAP or any Supply Chain ERP knowledge is a plus.
• Fluent in English; Dutch and/or French are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Double the cross-dock flows and minimize operational disruptions.
• Analyze warehouse processes to identify cost savings and process improvements.
• Coordinate with Demand Planners, Warehouse ops, and technical teams to align plan and execution.
• Monitor plan execution and address disruptions with mitigation plans.
• Balance inbound volume forecast to balance sales, costs and capacity.
• Monitor KPIs, maintain reporting, and escalate issues as needed.

Your scope of work

Are you looking for an exciting temporary opportunity within a dynamic Supply Chain environment? Then this could be the perfect next step! This position offers a temporary contract for the period from January 2027 to June 2027.

As a Supply Chain Planner, you will focus on monitoring and optimizing warehouse processes, ensuring products move from our warehouse to our stores efficiently and cost-effectively. You will work closely with the wider Supply Chain and Warehouse operations and the technical teams to improve processes and support the implementation of new and innovative programs for the Benelux Supply Chain.

Your responsibilities include:

• Double the cross-dock flows and ensure minimal operational disruptions
• Analyze warehouse processes to identify cost savings and process improvement opportunities
• Coordinate with the internal Demand Planners (or Forecasting and Replenishment team), Warehouse operations teams, and technical teams to ensure alignment on the plan and execution
• Continuously monitor the execution of the plan and address any disruptions or risks with corresponding mitigation plan
• Manage and balance the inbound volume forecast to balance sales, costs and operational capacity
• Monitor operational KPIs, maintain reporting, proactively follow up on open issues and **escalate** as needed
