Job summary

ING is seeking a Risk Model Strategy Expert within Integrated Risk Oversight to drive group-wide IRB and IFRS 9 modelling strategy and governance.

The role combines deep technical expertise with regulatory judgement, offering direct exposure to senior decision-makers and a clear line of sight to balance-sheet dynamics across ING's global organisation.

You will lead model strategy, governance, and monitoring, engaging stakeholders and translating complex risk dynamics into actionable insights.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a relevant field.
• 10+ years in credit risk modelling or related areas.
• Experience with IRB and IFRS 9 models and regulatory frameworks.
• Strong communication with senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Define and evolve Group-wide IRB/IFRS 9 model strategy.
• Advise on use of credit risk models in portfolios and capital.
• Develop advanced model monitoring and forward-looking testing.
• Assess group-level model risks and capital adequacy.
• Translate model dynamics into concise insights for management.
• Engage senior stakeholders across the model lifecycle.
