Job summary

TNO-GDN is seeking a Senior Communications Advisor with leadership skills to elevate how we tell the story of the Dutch subsurface to the right audiences, at the right time. You will be part of the GeoData & Information Management department and work with six communications professionals to increase visibility of TNO-GDN’s work.

You will develop and maintain the overarching communications strategy, advise the management team on reputation and positioning, and lead initiatives to ensure coherence

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Communications, Journalism or another related field.
• At least ten years of relevant work experience in a similar role, preferably within a scientific organisation.
• Proven ability to set priorities and drive organisational goals.
• Experience with social media including LinkedIn.
• Excellent writing skills and strong Dutch and good English.

Responsibilities

• Develop and keep the overarching communications strategy up to date, aligned with the TNO-GDN strategy.
• Advise directors, management and stakeholders on strategic communication issues.
• Lead and coach the communications team in day-to-day work.
• Develop and implement stakeholder management plans, ensuring coherence across activities.
