Job summary

Unisys is seeking a hands-on Storage & Network Field Service Engineer to support on-site installations, maintenance and break/fix across the Netherlands.

You will work independently, solving technical issues in the field while directly engaging with customers and vendors. Preference for Utrecht region with strong teamwork and opportunities for training and certification.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 4-6 years in field services, infrastructure support, networking, storage or servers.
• Experience troubleshooting and repairing enterprise hardware.
• Familiarity with server, storage and networking technologies.
• Understanding of Cisco networking equipment and basic config.
• Diagnose issues and perform hardware replacements independently.
• Valid driving license and strong customer service skills.
• English communication; Dutch is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site installation, de-installation, configuration and maintenance of network, server and storage equipment.
• Deliver break/fix support for enterprise infrastructure including storage, servers and network devices.
• Diagnose hardware and infrastructure issues and determine remediation actions.
• Replace faulty components and restore systems to operational status within SLAs.
• Install and connect network devices and perform basic on-site configuration.
• Execute hardware testing, certification and validation after installation or repair.
• Coordinate with remote teams, vendors, and customers to resolve issues.
• Travel daily to customer sites across the Netherlands and participate in on-call rotation.

What success looks like in this role:Location: Netherlands (Preference for Utrecht Region)About the RoleWe are looking for a hands-on Storage & Network Field Service Engineer to join our field services team in the Netherlands. In this role, you will provide on-site technical support, installation, maintenance, and break/fix services for enterprise storage, server, and networking equipment at customer locations across the country.This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who enjoys working independently, solving technical issues in the field, and interacting directly with customers.
