Dekmantel is seeking an intern to join the production team with a focus on technical drawing and 3D modelling for our festivals and projects.
You will translate sketches and production data into 2D drawings and usable 3D files, create CAD overlays, and expand our CAD library. You’ll collaborate with multiple disciplines and help bring drawings to life on site.
Please note that we’re looking for someone who is based in The Netherlands. Furthermore, this is not a remote position.

Within the music world, Dekmantel is a headstrong and growing organisation that focuses on electronic music in the broadest sense of the word. As such, we organise three festivals at home and abroad (Dekmantel Festival, Lentekabinet and Dekmantel Selectors), run a music label on a daily basis and engage in other projects we believe in. The love of music flows through our DNA and we get excited by anyone who shares that feeling.
We are an independent organisation that can grow and learn thanks to the input of its employees. For this reason, we like to make room for your input, creativity and ideas. We motivate everyone, from all backgrounds, ethnicities, orientations, abilities and experiences to respond.
We are looking for an intern to join our production team with an interest in technical drawing, 3D modelling and the world of festivals and events. We continually explore new ways to shape our festivals, from stages to distinctive objects and installations.
During your internship, you will help with the technical and visual development of our festivals and other projects. You will translate ideas, sketches, designs and production information into clear 2D drawings and technically usable 3D working files. You will create and maintain 2D CAD overlays for our festivals, help expand and maintain our CAD library with 2D and 3D objects, and update and develop existing drawings throughout the production process. Along the way, you will contribute ideas on technical feasibility, dimensions and practical execution.
You will work closely with different production and creative disciplines. This means you will not only see how something is developed on screen, but also how your drawings and models are eventually brought to life on site.
Previous experience in the events industry is not required. More important is that you are technically curious and interested in seeing how an initial idea develops into something that is actually built and realised on a festival site.
