Job summary

TomTom in Amsterdam is seeking a Staff UX Designer to lead the visual and technical direction of map rendering across 2D and 3D. You will partner closely with engineering to ensure that designs are technically sound and visually compelling.

With at least 8 years of experience in UX design and strong expertise in cartography, you will contribute to shaping product decisions while advocating user insights and design quality.

The position offers flexibility to work from home or the office and a competitive compensation package.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of relevant professional experience in UX design or cartographic design.
• Proficiency in front-end development (JavaScript, WebGL).
• Comfort navigating ambiguity in complex technology stacks.

Responsibilities

• Define and evolve the long-term vision for map rendering.
• Work with engineering to validate new rendering capabilities.
• Drive product and roadmap decisions in collaboration with teams.
