Job summary

Reddit is hiring a Staff ML Engineer to lead end-to-end ML projects for ads and embeddings. You will shape technical strategy, mentor MLEs, and build scalable data pipelines while collaborating with product and data science teams.

You will work with Python, PyTorch/TensorFlow, and ML infrastructure (Airflow, BigQuery, Kubernetes) to deliver state-of-the-art representations. This role offers remote work from the Netherlands or the UK and strong benefits.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of end-to-end ML lifecycle experience.
• Staff-level technical leadership; cross-functional projects.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Proven track in NLP/CV problems at scale using embeddings.
• Familiarity with Ads domain and/or recommender systems.
• Experience with PyTorch or TensorFlow.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to MLEs.
• Develop strategy for content-based embeddings & relevance for Ads.
• Develop/iterate embedding models for ads use cases.
• Work with LLMs/VLMs; prompt tuning and fine-tuning.
• Build data processing and inference pipelines.
• Ensure reliability, scalability; write tests and monitor.
• Review work and ensure quality standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate requirements.
