Job summary

SiTime Corp. is seeking a Sr. Post-Silicon Validation Engineer to lead productization of MEMS-based timing devices. You will work cross-functionally to ensure system-level performance and help solve challenging timing problems. The role welcomes self-motivated individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate has strong experience in validation, characterization, and design improvements, and is capable of mentoring junior engineers while coordinating multi-site activities.

Qualifications

• MS or PhD in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering. Exceptional candidates with other backgrounds will be considered.
• 5+ years of experience in the productization of semiconductor sensor-based devices.
• Experience leading engineering project teams and creating and executing verification and characterization plans.
• Fundamental knowledge and understanding of mixed-signal circuits.
• Hands‑on experience with electronics lab instrumentation. Metrology systems experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work with MEMS and circuit design teams to evaluate silicon and recommend design improvements for enhanced performance.

• Design, develop, and validate PCB test platforms and firmware for automated data acquisition and analysis.
• Perform engineering failure analysis to root cause product issues.
• Promote and deploy best practices to improve efficiency in validation and industrialization.
• Mentor junior Engineers in the team.

Job Summary

The Sr. Post-Silicon Validation Engineer will lead and contribute to productization of SiTime’s revolutionary timing devices. In this highly visible role, we are looking for passionate, self-starters who can work cross-functionally to ensure system-level performance of our products and help solve the world’s toughest timing problems. It is not necessary to meet all job requirements to be a qualified candidate for the position.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute device validation and characterization, including preparation of validation, characterization plans and reports.
• Perform project coordination for validation, characterization and release to production of MEMS-based timing products between different sites in the role of System Engineering Lead, interface with cross-functional teams and vendors.
• Work with MEMS and circuit design teams to evaluate new silicon and recommend design improvements for enhanced performance.
• Design and implement test automation to validate, characterize and release-to-production of MEMS-based timing products.
• Design, develop, and validate PCB test platforms and firmware to enable automated data acquisition & analysis.
• Perform engineering failure analysis to root cause product issues.
• Promote and deploy best practices and methodologies to improve efficiency in the validation, characterization and industrialization of high-quality MEMS-based timing products.
• Mentor junior Engineers in the team.

Qualifications & Requirement

• MS or PhD in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering. Exceptional candidates with other backgrounds will be considered.
• 5+ years of experience in the productization of semiconductor sensor-based devices.
• Experience leading engineering project teams and creating and executing verification and characterization plans.
• Fundamental knowledge and understanding of mixed-signal circuits.
• Hands‑on experience with electronics lab instrumentation. Prior experience with metrology systems for evaluating timing parameters is preferred but not required.
• Strong programming expertise with hands‑on experience in MATLAB, Python, C, and/or C++, including proficiency in object-oriented programming.
• Experience with test automation frameworks and ATE (Automated Test Equipment) integration.
• Strong statistical analysis skills.
