Job summary

Tata Communications is seeking a seasoned Solution Architect to own the design and development of architectures for Network/SDWAN/Cloud and security domains, with a focus on revenue growth and competitive positioning through robust solution design and standards.

You will translate customer requirements into technical designs, craft high-level and low-level designs, and collaborate with sales, products, and engineering teams to deliver complex solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering and 7–12 years of relevant experience.
• Ability to translate customer and business requirements into technical solutions.
• Understanding of Enterprise Architecture and business processes.
• Experience in creating High-Level and Low-Level Designs (HLD/LLD).
• Experience delivering consulting assignments in design/architecture.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a technical expert on solutions design, development, and implementation requirements.
• Scan market technology requirements, participate in product development activities, and represent in forums to increase brand awareness.
• Ensure compatibility, interoperability, stability, and usability of solution architecture.
• Design and deliver complex solutions per customer requirements with stakeholders across sales, products, and engineering.
• Support the Product team through the lifecycle and provide inputs on product features from a business/customer perspective.
• Work with clients and internal teams to provide integrated architecture across multiple products.
• Create and review architecture artifacts and provide guidance on engineering methodologies and best practices.
• Identify, communicate, and mitigate risks, assumptions, issues and decisions through complete lifecycle.
• The role may be an individual contributor or lead a small team.

Broad outline of the Role

• The role owns the design and development of solution architecture with respect to technical solution design and service design for complex solutions in the respective areas of Network/SDWAN/Cloud and security/Unified Collaboration/Mobility and IoT/other domains with the objective of increasing revenue, profitability, and market competitive. This is a tactical role which defines the direction of new solutions, processes, standards based upon business strategy or customer need, with a significant mid-term impact on business unit overall results.

Minimum Qualifications & Experience

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as a technical expert on solutions design, development, and implementation requirements to address business needs. Analyse the functionality and constraints of recommended solution across multiple systems or platforms or applications.


• Scan the technology requirements of market, participate in product development activities, represent in customer or marketing forums to increase brand awareness.


• Ensure compatibility, interoperability, stability, and usability of solution architecture.


• Design and deliver complex solutions as per customer requirements. Work with various stakeholders including sales team, products team, engineering team to jointly assess customer requirements.


• Support the Product team through the product development lifecycle and provide inputs on product features from a business requirements or customer perspective.


• Work with clients, internal stakeholders to provide integrated solution architecture across multiple products to meet the client requirements. Provide an expertise to internal teams and or or external vendors and partners to design complex solutions and ensure effective delivery of the same.


• Create and review architecture and solution design artifacts. Proactively provide guidance on engineering methodologies, standards, and best practices.


• Identify, communicate, and mitigate Risks, Assumptions, Issues and Decisions throughout complete lifecycle (Pre-sales, Delivery, Support)


• The role may be an individual contributor or may lead a small team.

• Base Salary Range: €72,000 – €94,679. The salary may be adjusted within this range based on the candidate's qualifications, experience, and the specific needs of the position.


• Other Compensation: The position is eligible to participate in a sales-based incentive program
