Job summary

Uber is seeking an experienced Employee Relations professional to manage complex casework, including interpersonal conflicts and misconduct allegations, across a global process. In this role, you will analyze case context, facilitate restorative conversations, maintain confidential records, and collaborate with HR, Employment Legal and business leaders to drive fair, outcomes-focused resolutions.

  • Undergraduate degree and minimum 5 years' experience in employee relations, mediation, or HR.
  • Excellent case-management, planning, organization, and ability to manage multiple tasks in time-sensitive environments.
  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills; able to communicate persuasively at all levels.

What The Candidate Will Do
  • Manage employee\"relations cases within our global process involving interpersonal conflict and/or allegations of misconduct (e.g., harassment, discrimination, bullying, retaliation, etc.)
  • Analyze context, facts, and documentation gathered within the case-management process to develop balanced recommended actions that address misconduct and restore damaged relationships
  • Facilitate restorative conversations (mediated discussions) between employees with an emphasis on outcomes that repair workplace relationships
  • Maintain confidential records within a shared case-management tool; leverage the tool to identify themes affecting employee groups or subgroups and develop a measured response related to trends
  • Foster action-oriented relationships with HR, Employment Legal and business leaders at all levels
  • Actively support or lead priority projects for the employee-relations team
Basic Qualifications
  • Undergraduate degree and a minimum of 5\"years' experience in employee relations case management, mediation, or human resources; additional years of experience will be awarded for relevant advanced degrees (e.g., J.D.,\"Graduate Degree in Counseling or Mediation)
  • Demonstrated case-management skills, including planning, organization, attention to detail, and the ability to deliver multiple tasks or competing priorities within a time-sensitive environment
  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills; must be an impactful and persuasive communicator at all levels of the organization
Preferred Qualifications
  • Direct experience with restorative practices, restorative justice, or similar interventions such as mediated discussions, community circles, and action plans focused on harm reduction
  • Significant experience in workplace investigations and case management combined with a thorough understanding of HR principles, concepts, policies, and standards
  • Ability to mentor teammates across a global employee-relations team and work independently to drive results at a high level without day-to-day supervision
