Job summary

cosine is seeking a Maintenance Engineer Space Technology to ensure reliability of advanced space instrumentation. You will manage cleanroom systems, precision manufacturing equipment, and specialized lab machinery in an international, high-tech setting.

With a focus on preventive maintenance, you will diagnose issues, coordinate spare parts and external suppliers, and maintain safety standards across a multi-site environment.

Qualifications

  • Experience maintaining technical equipment in a production, laboratory, or other high-tech environment.
  • Experience working with maintenance or asset management systems.
  • VCA-VOL certification or an equivalent safety qualification.
  • Certified for electrical work, or willing to obtain the required certification.
  • Fluent in Dutch and English with effective cross-team communication.

Responsibilities

  • Execute, optimize, and continuously improve preventive maintenance plans for cleanroom systems, laboratory equipment, and precision manufacturing machinery.
  • Diagnose technical failures, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions to minimize downtime and maximize equipment reliability.
  • Maintain and improve critical equipment that supports the development and production of advanced space instrumentation.
  • Manage spare parts, maintenance materials, external suppliers, and maintenance records to ensure operational continuity.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities comply with applicable safety standards and contribute to a safe and reliable working environment.
