Job summary

cosine is seeking a Maintenance Engineer Space Technology to ensure the reliability of advanced equipment used in space instrumentation development and production, including cleanroom systems and specialized laboratory machinery.

You will lead preventive maintenance efforts, diagnose issues, and coordinate spare parts and external suppliers to maintain operational continuity in a high-tech environment. The role emphasizes safety and end-to-end equipment care.

Qualifications

  • MBO+ or HBO degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Automation, or related technical discipline.
  • Experience maintaining technical equipment in production, laboratory, or high-tech environment.
  • Experience working with maintenance or asset management systems.
  • VCA-VOL certification or equivalent safety qualification.
  • Certified for electrical work, or willing to obtain certification.
  • Fluent in Dutch and English with ability to communicate across technical and operational teams.

Responsibilities

  • Execute, optimize, and continuously improve preventive maintenance plans for cleanroom systems, laboratory equipment, and precision manufacturing machinery
  • Diagnose technical failures, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions to minimize downtime and maximize equipment reliability
  • Maintain and improve critical equipment that supports the development and production of advanced space instrumentation
  • Manage spare parts, maintenance materials, external suppliers, and maintenance records to ensure operational continuity
  • Ensure all maintenance activities comply with applicable safety standards and contribute to a safe and reliable working environment
