Job summary

Telespazio Belgium, working with the European Space Agency, seeks a Project Management and Engineering Specialist for Non-Orbital projects to join ESTEC in the Netherlands as a contractor. The role focuses on coordinating ESA Academy programmes and mentoring student teams.

Candidates must have a Master's in a technical field, 4+ years of engineering project management experience, and fluency in English. A relocation package and hybrid work options are provided.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a technical discipline (Aerospace/Systems/Mechanical/Electrical/Physics).
• Minimum 4 years in engineering project management or aerospace projects.
• Experience with scientific experiments or complex technical projects.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate ESA Academy non-orbital project programmes and related initiatives.
• Support student teams across project lifecycle and risk management.
• Coordinate applications, participant selection and programme communications.
• Monitor progress and resolve issues across all project phases.
• Organise meetings, reviews, training events, workshops and campaigns.
• Supervise engineering work and ensure compliance with requirements.
• Support testing and operational activities at ESA/partner facilities.
• Develop and deliver training on project management and systems engineering.
• Manage programme documentation, reporting and data protection compliance.
• Contribute to new partnerships and engagement initiatives.
• Support outreach and promotional activities and ESA participation.
