Telespazio Belgium, on behalf of ESA, seeks a STEM Inspiration Coordinator for ESA Education Office to operate at ESTEC in the Netherlands. The role supports in-orbit education and outreach across ESA missions, requiring security clearance eligibility and close coordination with ESA and international partners.

Qualifications

• University education in a STEM subject is required.
• Additional university qualification in STEM-education or secondary teaching is desired.
• Experience in instructional design and STEM pedagogy is essential.
• Direct teaching or teacher training experience is required.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant professional experience in the domain.
• Fluent in English; knowledge of French is an asset.
• Strong organizational and reporting skills; proactive and autonomous attitude.
• Ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders and work with ESA and international partners.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver STEM inspiration and non-formal education activities in various formats, with outreach materials.
• Coordinate planning and delivery of STEM educational activities in orbit, e.g. on ISS.
• Set up, plan, design, and organize ESA STEM activities with external partners.
• Define content and coordinate production of outreach materials and tutorials.
• Draft Joint Education Plans for ESA missions to the ISS with partners and ESA stakeholders.
• Define, plan, execute, monitor and control formal processes for in-orbit education activities.
• Train educators on tools and education protocols and create tutorials.
• Coordinate in-flight calls and in-orbit activities with ARISS and ESA partners.
