Job summary

HE Space Operations seeks a PhD-qualified professional to coordinate scientific activities and lead science teams across Mars, Moon and space resources research. You will define science objectives, help set system requirements, and coordinate opportunities and peer reviews with the broader project team.

The role entails leading or supporting research activities, managing science operations, and ensuring data is accessible to the community through ESA archives.

Qualifications

• Science PhD in a relevant discipline.
• Experience coordinating scientific activities and teams.
• Knowledge of Mars, Moon or space resources science areas.
• Fluency in English is mandatory; other European languages are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Establish and support a user community and science team.
• Generate science objectives and requirements.
• Support technical baseline and system requirements addressing science needs.
• Coordinate Announcements of Opportunity and peer reviews.
• Lead or support research activities for mission concepts.
• Manage science operations and data pipelines for analysis.
• Ensure scientific data is accessible to the community.
• Post mission support and data access through ESA archives.
