W Amsterdam is seeking a passionate Spa Therapist to join the Away Spa team. You will deliver exceptional massages and wellness treatments, ensuring each guest feels welcomed and rejuvenated in a luxury setting.

Qualifications

Certified massage qualification/license where applicable.
Experience in luxury hotels or high-end spas preferred.

Responsibilities

Deliver massage treatments using diverse techniques and tools.
Perform body treatments, scrubs and hydrotherapy services.
Assess guest needs and contraindications before treatments.
Personalize treatments for comfort and results.
Escort guests through spa journey maintaining luxury standards.
Maintain cleanliness, hygiene and safety throughout the spa.
Keep treatment rooms prepared and equipment well-maintained.
Suggest spa treatments and wellness programs to guests.

What does the job include?

As a Spa Therapist, you are an ambassador of wellness and relaxation. You create memorable experiences by delivering outstanding massage and body treatments while ensuring every guest feels welcomed, cared for and completely rejuvenated.

You understand that luxury is found in the smallest details. Through your expertise, attentiveness and genuine care, you transform every treatment into a personalized experience tailored to each guest's individual needs.

Your responsibilities include:

Delivering exceptional massage treatments using a variety of techniques, products and wellness tools
Performing luxurious body treatments, scrubs, wraps and hydrotherapy services
Assessing guest needs and discussing medical contraindications, allergies, injuries, pregnancy and health conditions before treatments
Personalizing treatments to maximize comfort, relaxation and results
Escorting guests throughout their spa journey and ensuring a seamless luxury experience
Continuously monitoring guest comfort, pressure preference and overall wellbeing during treatments
Preparing treatment rooms, workstations, linens and equipment to the highest luxury standards
Recommending spa treatments, wellness programs and retail products that enhance guest experiences
Building strong relationships with guests and maintaining detailed guest treatment histories
Managing appointments efficiently and ensuring treatments are delivered according to schedule
Maintaining impeccable cleanliness, hygiene and safety standards throughout the spa
Sanitizing, cleaning and maintaining all treatment tools, hot stones, equipment and workstations
Staying informed about the latest trends, techniques and innovations in wellness and massage therapy
Maintaining all required licenses, certifications and professional qualifications
Demonstrating expert knowledge of spa services, wellness offerings, retail products and promotions
Supporting the overall operation, presentation and success of Away Spa
Handling guest concerns with professionalism, empathy and confidence
Following Marriott International service standards and wellness protocols at all times
Reporting maintenance, safety or operational concerns when required
Collaborating closely with spa team and other hotel departments
Maintaining a polished, stylish and professional appearance consistent with the W brand
Creating unforgettable moments that continuously exceed guest expectations
