Job Description

As a Solutions Architect, you will work at the intersection of technology strategy and hands‑on architectural design. You’ll combine a strong technical foundation with an enterprise perspective, helping ensure our architecture scales with our business ambitions.

Working closely with the CTO, Tech Leads, Data Architect, Product Teams, and Office Technology Team, you’ll be responsible for steering architectural direction, constructively challenging technical decisions, and ensuring coherence across our technology landscape.

Over the last two years, iChoosr has undergone a major digital transformation with a new scalable platform that enables business teams to execute group‑buying campaigns. Following the successful MVP release of this initiative, your focus will shift toward extending this new platform, decommissioning legacy components, and embedding sound architectural governance and documentation practices, including maintaining our ArchiMate architecture repository.

You will also play a key role in supporting the Office Technology Team with governance and decision‑making related to the broader technology ecosystem outside the platform, ensuring that all IT systems adhere to architectural principles and align with technology standards.

Your Responsibilities

Solution & Platform Architecture

• Design, evolve, and govern the target architecture for iChoosr’s digital platform (Unbound) and supporting technologies.
• Guide the further development of our new platform to replace legacy systems, ensuring stability, scalability, and maintainability.
• Collaborate with Tech Leads and Engineering Teams to make pragmatic architecture choices that balance innovation with delivery.
• Review, challenge, and support technical design decisions to ensure consistency with architectural principles and business objectives.
• Contribute to secure and compliant solutions that are aligned with modern data protection and cybersecurity practices.

Strategic Architecture & Governance

• Maintain and extend the architecture in ArchiMate, ensuring business, data, application, and technology layers remain up‑to‑date and aligned with strategy.
• Work with the CTO to define and maintain the long‑term architecture roadmap and contribute to the overall technology strategy.
• Lead in the Technology Governance Board, ensuring standards, policies, and patterns are followed across teams.
• Provide architectural oversight and guidance to the Office Technology Team, ensuring that non‑platform technologies (e.g., internal tools, SaaS systems, integrations) align with enterprise architecture principles.
• Support architectural decision records (ADRs) and enforce architecture guardrails for sustainable technology evolution.

Innovation & Continuous Improvement

• Identify opportunities to leverage emerging technologies and modern engineering practices to improve our platform and operations.
• Help define patterns and reusable assets to improve delivery efficiency and architectural maturity.

Your Expertise

• Proven experience in solution architecture roles, with a strong grounding in system design, integration, and cloud technologies.
• Proven experience guiding replatforming or large‑scale transformation initiatives.
• Strong grasp of enterprise architecture principles and ability to bridge tactical and strategic perspectives.
• Experience with Azure and modern architectural patterns (e.g., service‑oriented and event‑driven architecture).
• Solid understanding of Agile and DevOps principles.
• Skilled in ArchiMate modelling and architecture documentation.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, capable of constructively challenging peers and leaders.
• Knowledge of frameworks such as TOGAF, Open Agile Architecture, or similar.

Additionally, the following skills or qualifications are a plus

• Experience with integrating HubSpot and Strapi into the technology landscape.
• Software development experience with Angular and/or C#.
