Job summary

o9 Solutions, Inc. is hiring a Solution Architect to join our Amsterdam team.

You will drive the design and delivery of advanced supply chain planning solutions, transforming data into insights and scalable workflows across global client engagements. You will lead data collection, model building, and platform design, working with Architects to create robust functional and technical designs, while mentoring junior analysts and delivering training to a worldwide user base.

Qualifications

• Experience implementing supply chain planning solutions or in supply chain/logistics.
• Experience presenting on complex topics clearly and concisely.
• Experience with planning systems and ERP tools.
• Leading a team through full lifecycle of a supply chain planning solution implementation including requirements gathering, solution design & development, UAT/SIT, go-live/cutover, and value realization.
• Experience using Agile methodologies to deliver large scale enterprise implementations.

Responsibilities

• Participate in process and business requirements sessions and document to-be processes leveraging industry best practices.
• Identify and collect data such as historical sales, shipments, inventory, logistics, and other operations data from sources like databases, Excel sheets, emails, and others.
• Ability to convert business logic to technical platform design, including knowledge of platform infrastructure.
• Work closely with Architects and Directors to develop clear functional and technical designs and document data requirements and build complex datasets.
• Configure technical specifications and tool configurations in the o9 platform as per the design to solve deep operations/supply chain problems and institute performance monitoring.
• Use mathematical models, predictive methods, statistical techniques, optimization algorithms and simulations to analyze large enterprise data and provide insights and data visualization to client management.
• Proficient in statistical and optimization tools and programming languages to conduct data integration through ETL and create models to generate time series forecasts and operational plans.
• Collaborate with Internal R&D to resolve solution gaps and deploy fixes.
• Create and execute workflow/data analytics test-cases and track issues to resolution.
• Design a testing protocol and implement with Junior Analysts to automate testing.
• Work with cross-functional teams, IT, and business stakeholders to ensure successful planning/execution of projects.
• Plan, develop and deliver Super User/End User training for a global user base.
• Mentor Junior Analysts on technical and business aspects of projects.

Job Title – Solution Architect

What you’ll do for us

● Participate in process and business requirements sessions and document to-be business processes leveraging industry best practices.

● Identify and collect data, such as historical sales, shipment, inventory, logistics, and other operations / supply chain data from sources like databases, excel sheets, emails and others.

● Ability to convert business logic to technical platform design, including knowledge of platform infrastructure.

● Work closely with Architects and Directors to develop clear functional and technical design and document data requirements and build complex datasets.

● Configure a technical specification document and tool configuration in the o9 platform as per the design to solve deep operations / supply chain problems and institute rigorous performance monitoring systems.

● Use mathematical models, predictive methods, statistical techniques, optimization algorithms and simulations to analyze, manipulate and interpret large enterprise data and provide business insights and data visualization to the client management.

● Be proficient in statistical and optimization tools and programming languages to conduct data integration through extraction, transformation and loading (ETL) and create models to generate time series forecasts and operational plans

● Work with Internal Research and Development Teams to resolve solution gaps and deploy fixes in the customer environment

● Create and execute workflow and data analytics test-cases and document issues and track progress at resolving issues.

● Ability to design a testing protocol and implement with support from Junior Analysts, with the end goal of automating testing.

● Work with Cross-Functional Teams, and IT and business stakeholders, to ensure successful planning and execution of projects.

● Plan, develop and deliver Super User and End User training, for a global user base.

● Mentor Junior Analysts to familiarize them with technical and business aspects of a project.

What you’ll have

• Experience: Implementing supply chain planning solutions or working in the supply chain/ logistics organization.
• Experience presenting on complex topics in a clear, concise, and easily understood manner
• Prior experience in planning systems, and exposure to ERP tools
• Firsthand experience leading a team through the full lifecycle of a supply chain planning solution implementation including business requirement gathering, solution design & development, UAT/SIT, go-live/cutover, and value realization
• Experience using agile methodology to deliver large scale enterprise implementations
• Education: Master’s Degree +4 or Bachelor Degree with 6 year experience required. Degrees in the following fields: in Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, Engineering Management, Business Analytics, Computer Science, or related fields (including Supply Chain Engineering) with a concentration in operations or analytics.

Skills:

• Supply planning experience and have worked or implemented one or multiple supply planning products is required

• Knowledge of spreadsheets and software (Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets), document processing (Microsoft Word, Google Docs), presentation (Microsoft PowerPoint) is required

• Knowledge and training in databases (SQL Server, MySQL) and skills one or more languages like SQL, MDX, T-SQL or similar is required

• Strong analytical techniques, data mining knowledge and proficiency in handling and processing large amounts of data is preferred

• Ability to identify key insights and critical thinking to prioritize and focus on the highest value opportunities or the biggest risks is preferred Coursework and strong background in mathematics and statistics is required

• Strong verbal, written, presentation and demonstration / training skills are required

• Ability to communicate mathematical, technical or software usage concepts to audiences with limited prior mathematics, technical or software background is preferred

• Ability to work in teams, distributed across locations and time zones and at executive and junior levels in a corporate hierarchy is required

This position at o9 Solutions has an annual salary range of €76,482-€105,163. Additionally, you may be eligible to participate in our medical, retirement, and other company-sponsored benefits.
