Job summary

Keysight Technologies in Amsterdam is seeking a Senior Solution Engineer to provide pre-sales technical leadership for the Network Infrastructure Testing portfolio. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer/Electrical Engineering, CS, Telecommunications or related field.

• Proficiency in Ethernet switching/routing, TCP/IP, and data center architectures.
• Experience with AI data center concepts, RoCEv2, and AI fabric tech.
• Strong presentation and communication skills with ability to run workshops and executive briefings.

Responsibilities

The Senior Solution Engineer provides pre-sales technical expertise for Keysight's Network Infrastructure Testing solution. The role focuses on challenging and helping customers validate performance, scalability, resiliency, and interoperability of modern network and AI infrastructures.

• Provide pre-sales support for Data Center Networking, Routing & Switching, AI Fabric, Cloud Networking, and Network Security test and measurement solutions.
• Design and deliver customer demonstrations, Proofs of Concept (PoCs), evaluations, and workshops with measurable success criteria.
• Develop customer-specific validation methodologies, and benchmarking strategies.
• Translate customer challenges into structured test scenarios, performance KPIs, and technical testing solution architectures.
• Support RFP/RFQ processes including technical solution definition, architecture recommendations, and Bill of Material (BoM) creation.
• Work closely with Sales, Product Management, Marketing, and Engineering teams to develop and execute account strategies.
• Deliver technical presentations, workshops, and conference sessions on emerging networking, cloud, AI infrastructure, and security technologies.
• Provide competitive positioning and technical differentiation of Keysight solutions.
• Support automation and lab modernization initiatives through APIs, scripting, CI/CD integration, and test orchestration frameworks.
• Serve as a technology leader and trusted advisor, helping customers navigate emerging trends in AI, Data Center networking, automation, and cloud interconnections.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunications, or related field.
• 5+ years of customer-facing PreSales, Solution Engineering, Consulting, or Technical Sales experience.
• Must be recognized as technically competent in multiple networking technologies including:
  • Ethernet switching and routing
  • TCP/IP networking
  • Data Center network architectures (Spine-Leaf, Clos, EVPN-VXLAN)
  • Network protocols and control planes
  • Cloud and virtualized infrastructures (incl. Microservices / Containers)
  • High-speed networking (100G/400G/800G and beyond)
• Solid understanding of modern AI Data Center architectures and AI Fabric technologies, including:
  • RoCEv2 (RDMA over Converged Ethernet)
  • AI cluster networking concepts
  • Congestion management and load balancing
  • Scale-Up, Scale-Out and Scale-Across architectures
  • Ethernet-based AI interconnect fabrics
  • AI infrastructure validation and benchmarking concepts
• Experience with Data Center infrastructure technologies including:
  • Switching and routing platforms
  • Network operating systems
  • SmartNICs, DPUs and accelerated networking
  • Optical networking and interconnect technologies
  • Cloud and hybrid cloud connectivity
• Expertise in troubleshooting complex Layer 2/3, transport, and Data Center networking issues.
• Experience with network testing, validation, benchmarking, or performance characterization tools.
• Strong understanding of test methodologies, performance metrics, latency analysis, throughput validation, congestion testing, resiliency testing, and interoperability verification.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills with the ability to deliver technical workshops, demonstrations, executive briefings, and conference presentations.
• Proven capability to translate complex architectures into business value and customer outcomes.
• Strong customer engagement skills with the ability to build trusted advisor relationships.
• Collaborative and cross-functional working style, partnering effectively with Sales, Product Management, Marketing, Development, and Services organizations.
