Job summary

Lightyear is seeking an Application Engineer in the Netherlands to bridge OEM customers and Lightyear’s product development. You will define system architecture, specify interfaces, and coordinate technical execution with internal specialists to deliver solar vehicle integration projects.

You will lead assignments, run technical meetings, and translate customer needs into actionable development inputs while balancing product constraints and engineering priorities.

Qualifications

A technical degree in automotive, electrical or mechatronics.
Experience translating product capabilities to customer applications.
Strong system-level understanding of vehicle, electrical and software architectures.

Responsibilities

Define system architecture, requirements and interfaces for OEM projects.
Lead assigned OEM projects and coordinate technical execution with internal teams.
Create architecture documents, validation plans and test reports.
Support vehicle integration, testing and demonstrations with OEMs.
