Job summary

ASML is seeking a Software Test Engineer to validate the quality, reliability, and performance of a distributed software platform that underpins real-time control systems.

You will design and maintain automated tests for platform integration, timing, and data integrity across complex hardware/software configurations, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality releases.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, software engineering, electrical engineering, embedded systems, or related field
• 3+ years in software testing, software development, or system integration; ISTQB/T-Map a plus
• Experience with automated testing in complex software systems
• Experience with Python and/or C++
• Experience with Linux-based development environments
• Experience analyzing defects and root-cause investigations
• Familiarity with integration and regression testing and test automation frameworks
• Experience with CI and automated test pipelines is a plus
• Experience with distributed, embedded, or real-time systems is a plus

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain automated integration and regression tests
• Define test scenarios and test cases for platform functionality and system integration
• Verify timing characteristics, I/O delays, synchronization, and data integrity
• Develop and maintain test tooling, simulators, and automated environments
• Execute test campaigns and analyze results to assess quality and release readiness
• Investigate defects and failures, supporting root-cause analysis with development teams
• Contribute to CI and automated qualification pipelines
• Identify test coverage gaps and propose improvements to quality
• Report progress, quality metrics and risks to stakeholders
• Collaborate with developers, architects and integration engineers to ensure testability
