NTS Eindhoven is seeking a Software Lead Engineer to set the technical direction for software projects and coordinate engineers.

In this hands-on role, you translate complex requirements into architecture, drive design decisions, and ensure quality through code reviews and testing. The position requires a degree and 8+ years in software development, with C#, .NET or C++, and the option to work at least 32 hours per week on-site in Eindhoven.

• Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or a related technical field.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in developing technical software using C#, .NET/.NET Framework or C++ (knowledge of C is a plus).
• Experience in UI development, for example WPF, and a strong understanding of OOP principles and UML design.

Working in collaborative teams of fewer than ten colleagues, you translate project objectives and complex requirements into software architecture, design decisions and executable technical plans.This is a technical leadership role without line-management responsibility. You lead through technical direction, coordination and coaching, while the Group Lead or Competence Manager remains responsible for people management.Our teams develop qualification tools, semiconductor equipment, defence and healthcare systems, and other advanced technology solutions. You collaborate closely with software, mechanical, electrical and mechatronics engineers to deliver integrated system solutions that meet high quality standards.We value clear and transparent communication. You recognise yourself in the following profile:* Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or a related technical field;* Minimum 8 years of experience in developing technical software using C#, .NET/.NET Framework or C++ (knowledge of C is a plus);* Proven experience in setting technical direction, coordinating engineering activities and guiding other software engineers, with or without formal line-management responsibility;* Experience in UI development, for example WPF, and a strong understanding of OOP principles and UML design;* Experience working in an Agile development environment and with Azure DevOps or similar platforms;* Experience in a high-tech mechatronic environment is a strong advantage;* Knowledge of one or more of the following areas is a plus: databases, DevOps, test strategy, electronics or mechatronics, and computer vision;* Excellent communication and social skills, with the ability to explain complex technical topics in an understandable way;* Proficient in English, both written and spoken.
