Job summary

NTS Precision Eindhoven, part of the NTS Group, is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer Machining to translate customer drawings into routings, quotes and machining plans. You will start on the shop floor as a CNC Miller/Turner and grow into a full work planner.

You will coordinate with designers, programmers and suppliers, manage quotation processes and ensure manufacturability, PFMEA, and quality requirements while balancing customer needs and internal efficiency.

Qualifications

• Completed technical education at least at MBO 4 level such as Mechanical Engineering or similar.
• Experience as a work planner, estimator, or CNC programmer in the machining industry.
• Knowledge of μm accuracy, technical drawings, and tolerance concepts.
• Good knowledge of Excel; experience with hyperMILL and Navision is a plus.

• Handling quotation processes: making calculations and issuing quotes based on customer docs.
• Assessing customer documentation and change proposals for manufacturability and advised design.
• Guiding NPI processes from an early stage with customers and designers.
• Creating routings and machining plans with setup and timing estimates.
• Designing tools and fixtures for complex products.
• Supporting and guiding workers and suppliers in machining.
• Organizing First Article Inspections (FAI) and ensuring PFMEA, cleanliness, TAS requirements.

NTS Precision is a machining company in high-tech manufacturing with about 40 colleagues, the majority of whom work on the production floor. Using the most advanced turning and milling machines, which produce 24/7 thanks to automation and robot loading, we make precision parts for the semiconductor and analytical markets, often in small series with tight tolerances.You determine how a part is made and what it costs. Based on the technical product documentation from our customers, you first ensure a correct calculation and quote, and then you create the routings so that our CNC programmers and skilled workers know exactly what to do in what order to make an ultra-precise part. Thanks to your own experience on the machine and in work preparation, you know which setup works, which tools are needed, and how much time an operation really takes.You report to the Managing Director and act as the link between customers, designers, team leaders, skilled workers, planning, supply chain, and (sub)suppliers.
