Job summary

Agurotech in Amsterdam is seeking a Software Engineering Intern to join our software and data science team. You will help build AI-driven tools for growers and manage our global IoT sensor fleet.

You will contribute to backend services, data pipelines, and real-time monitoring, collaborating with hardware and agronomy teams to deliver impactful environmental technology.

This on-site internship in Amsterdam runs 4–6 months, with a EUR 500 gross monthly stipend and lunchtime meals provided.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, AI/ML, or a related field.
• Strong programming skills in Python, Go, or similar languages.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms and databases (e.g. GCP, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
• Understanding of IoT concepts, distributed systems, or real-time data processing.
• Proactive mindset and eagerness to learn.
• Able to work on-site in Amsterdam.

Responsibilities

• Developing and deploying software models for sensor data analysis and decision support.
• Designing backend services and APIs to manage and monitor IoT devices at scale.
• Building data pipelines for processing, storing, and visualizing sensor data.
• Supporting real-time monitoring and anomaly detection in the sensor network.
• Collaborating with hardware, firmware, and agronomy teams to ensure seamless integration.
