Job summary

JBT Marel in the Meat division seeks a Team Lead Commissioning & Planning to lead a dynamic Field Service team of 10 commissioning engineers located in NL, Denmark, Spain and the US. You will guide scheduling, ensure on-time delivery, and maintain budget while delivering high-quality software installations at customer sites.

This leadership role combines hands-on field work with people development, regular appraisals, mentoring, recruitment, and performance management.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechatronics, Electrical, or Software Engineering (or similar knowledge level).
• Strong field service experience.
• Excellent English communication skills.
• Affinity with people management.
• Analytical skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Experience in multicultural, multidisciplinary teams is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all work orders are delivered on time and within budget, with complete reporting.
• Collaborate with other teams and escalate issues as needed.
• Act as a sparring partner for field service scheduling, business, and technical support.
• Monitor team performance and utilization, using KPIs for benchmarking.
• Mentor employees and encourage skill development.
• Conduct regular appraisals and performance meetings.
• Manage recruitment, onboarding, training, and development.
• Optimize Field Service activities in close cooperation with management.

You’ll guide and support your team in delivering high-quality service and execution.
