Job summary

Monks in Los Angeles is seeking a Social Content Creator to lead end-to-end social video for two major brands. You will write, shoot, edit, and export fast, native to each platform while collaborating with creatives, strategists, and producers.

The role requires 5+ years of hands-on social video experience, a strong portfolio, and proficiency in Premiere Pro. The team values quick turnaround, editorial instincts, and independent, owner-led production.

Qualifications

• 5+ years creating social video, branded content, or creator-led work.
• Los Angeles-based or within commutable distance; New York-based candidates will also be considered.
• Strong portfolio showing your personal role in concepting, shooting, directing, and editing short-form content.
• Fluency in short-form storytelling with hooks, pacing, and platform-native editing.
• Proficiency operating compact camera systems or phones, recording clean audio, and basic lighting.

Responsibilities

• Generate a steady stream of original, quick-hit concepts and formats for social.
• Own creative development from briefs and platform behaviors to sell-in, in collaboration with others.
• Take ideas from concept through completion: scripting, storyboarding, casting, production planning, and editing.
• Shoot and edit independently with hooks, pacing, timing, music, and platform-native techniques.
• Direct talent and real people to achieve natural, entertaining performances.
• Capture events and cultural moments and turn around timely edits and recaps.
